| The first part of the lesson taught us how to make images with cutouts. Well, after many, many tries, I think I finally got it! What we then did is make a logo. I got a little carried away and tried out a number of different effects on my logo. I also learned that I should have done the entire base in white as some of the original blue is still visible. Or, I might have tried to contract by 1 pixel when I was done? I'll work with it another time. |

For the logo on the left I used Flaming Pear Glitterato. The logo on the right is made using KPT5 ShapeShifter. | ![]() |

For the logo on the left I used a Gradient and applied an inner bevel. The logo on the right is also made with a gradient, an inner bevel and texturizer. | ![]() |

And now for the fun stuff! We made a penguin! What fun. I found myself smiling throughout the rest of the lesson. :o) |

For the last part of the lesson we were to make a scene using our penguins. I changed the position of the feet on a couple of them, and also turned some a bit so it would look like they were walking and sliding down the snow embankment to get to the ice. I think I also mirrored one of them. On a few I also added some nice warm caps so they wouldn't get chilly while watching the skating snowman. It's too bad I didn't know as much about vectors when I was writing the tutorial for that Skating Snowman as I know now! |
