This week we started working with the demo version of Plugin Galaxy. The two demos included are Zoom and Popart. While I had fun playing with the Popart filter, I'm not sure that I would ever actually use it. And, I'm not sure when, or if, I would use the Zoom filter. |

The settings used: Intensity - R: 24; G: 21; B: 23; Complexity: 13: Color Shift: -150;
Softness: 112; Brightness: 163; Blending: 177; Color: black. This was the first one
that I did and I didn't really like it that much, but did like the way the
eagle stood out. |

The settings used: Intensity - R: 25; G: 23; B: 28; Complexity: 12: Color Shift: -150;
Softness: 121; Brightness: 163; Blending: 162; Color: dark green. I decided to try
this effect with a different color applied. I liked the green, and decided to
try it with some differnt settings. |

The settings used: Intensity - R: 5; G: 14; B: 2; Complexity: 9: Color Shift: 467;
Softness: 44; Brightness: 163; Blending: 177; Color: dark green. The eagles head is
really a standout on this one! No matter the look, that looks like one strong
bird. |

Softness: 119; Brightness: 163; Blending: 177; Color: dark green. This one turned out
to be my favorite. I really do like the muted greens in this version. |

For the remainder of the lesson we worked with the AmphiSoft filters. I played with all of them as I'd already decided to purchase the set. The first one we tried was Threadmaster. I used one image and got three different looks with it. The first looks sort of like the 'milkglass' effect with lines predominantly through the center. The became very bright and the third got the appearance similar to that found just before a storm. |
