This week we worked with several photographic filter effects. Since I do not have Adobe Photoshop, I did not do the work with the Extensis filter. And, I'm afraid I don't really know all of what I did or the number of effects I tried. But, I'll do my best to explain, starting with the first filter - AutoEye. The original orchid photo was taken this past spring at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. |
The second orchid image used the AutoEye filter with the default settings. (I was not able to use the 'automatic' feature as it would shut down PSP each time I tried that.) |
And, for the last orchid image used the AutoEye filter with the Sharp and Vibrant setting selected. It is difficult to see the difference in these two, however, I can see that the background with the dirt is darker and more enhanced. |
The next filter we used was the Nik Color Efex. It's too bad this is only a demo as the 'demo' stamp on the images does make it difficult to really evaluate the results. But, I can see some real possibilities here! The first image was the beach scene that was provided for us all to work with. The second beach image is the result of applying all of the settings provided in the lesson material. |
