After exporting Ron's bird tubes we created a gradient tube, 'Sally's Tube'. This was really slick! After creating and exporting the tube in the gray shades (might also be used to create storm clouds?), we colorized the tubes and exported them. Then we used the tubes to write our initials. What a terrific effect! |

The next part of the lesson taught us how to make a tube starting with a preset shape. The was also a lot of fun - and I got a bit carried away with it. The first image combines two tubes applied on separate layers and at different sizes. To the left below the first image is a leaf tube I made from a preset shape leaf I made with a gradient. Once I made the first series of 8 leaf rotations in the orange gradient and exported it as a tube, I adjusted the color to make a green leaf tube and a yellow leaf tube. Then I made the tree image on the right and added the four birds from Ron's tube as well as my own cardinal preset shape. The cardinal was made while taking Ron's toons class, of course! |

Next we learned a bit about Preset Shapes and exported Ron's kid heads to our Preset Shapes folder. Thanks, Ron, for these cute kids! I'll have to make some crash test dummies in kid sizes! Then we created some shapes of our own. The octopus in the image on the left is the new one; I made the fish while taking the toons classes. In the image on the right the angel is the Preset Shape that I made. I decided to try out Sally's Tube in the gray gradient, applied under the sky layer, to see if it would look like dark clouds. I think it worked just fine for creating stormy clouds! |

Finally, I created a Preset Shape display case and then created a wall and floor scene for it. I used tubes I've made from images I've made, wallpaper I made, a framed digital painting I did, and then made some carpet and a baseboard to complete the scene - and finished it off with a frame for the image. |

Thanks again for another fun week of PSP lesson! I can't believe that there are only two more weeks left! I'd better get over there and register for the Master class or you won't have a seat for me. |
