The first part of the lesson we learned how to make our own gradients and then we learned how to make some nifty spheres. I'm still going to have to refer to the lesson for a while on making those gradients! Making the spheres, however, is something I've really enjoyed. These are made with my gradients. The middle and right ones on the top row use a brown gradient shadow which I made. The black was just too dark for me.

Next we made some rectangles also using the highlight and shadow gradients. Again, the two on the right use the brown shadow. The first two were made with solid colors and the last two were made with my gradients.

We also worked with Vector Text and learned how to add shadows made from the text as well as how to manipulate the text by converting to curves. The next two images demonstrate different ways of working with text.

Finally, I used my blue gradient for the eyes, created the sphere highlighted pupils, and created a gradient to add to the cheeks, to create this image. She doesn't look too pleased with those little pursed lips! :)
