Before playing with creating brushes, etc., I went back and worked on the bowl and flowers from Week 2. Hillary was good enough to snag the painting from last week and swish her brush around. After seeing what she'd done I worked on this one some more. It doesn't look like Hillary's version, but it now has more depth to it. ![]() |

Next I created a brush. I should have worked ont the brush before working on that painting again! In a different green gradient I think it would have made better ferns than what I painted. When the brush is used to just dab the paint on the result looks like little blooms. While I haven't tried it, I imagine one could use a different color to paint little flowers. ![]() |

Once I created my fern brush I started playing with the IX Wow! brushes by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis. The brushes were inclued on the CD-Rom which came with The Painter IX Wow! book. (There were quite a few goodies on that CD-Rom.) I got a little carried away and used about every brush on the painting below. I liked the textures and overall look so added a frame. It was fun seeing what all those brushes can do! |

Questions: While I am able to load the IX Wow! brushes I only see one brush at a time, e.g. Acrylics. Is there a way to have all the bruses load at one time? Next, I downloaded Hillary's brushes and can see them in WE. Nonetheless, I can't load them. They are in a separate folder and I would have expected them to work like the IX Wow! brushes. What am I doing wrong??? I didn't get any brush dabs created this time around. Actually, while I made some the last time, this time I was having trouble. I need to spend mroe time working through the lesson. |
