For the last selection shape exercise we used the Lasso tool and other selection tools to create an image. This is either a giant yellow duck dwarfing a tree or a very small, leggy bush by the duck. ;o) To do the background I used the Magic Wand and selected the white, then inverted it and used the air brush to add some color. |

For the final selection exercise we used the Magic Wand to select areas of a photo and then adjusted the selections using the Lasso tool. Once we had the selections we wanted we then adjusted the color using Tonal Control in Effects. ![]() |

While this isn't the end of the lesson, this is as far as I've gotten. This is a digital watercolor painting which began with a clone of some strawberries which were then sketched on tracing paper. Additional strawberries were just sketched to add to the image. I didn't like all the sketch lines showing, especially in the shadows. I discovered that the pencil with the eraser variant could be used to erase the sketch lines without disturbing the watercolor painting. That I like! |

Karen, this has been a wonderful class. I'm so glad that you decided to put this class together. I've learned so much during the last six weeks and am looking forward to learning more about Painter. I'm glad you're going to be offering another class in the fall. I'll see you then as well as in this class again next session. |
