Since there was more time available I painted another where I changed the opacity on the layers, increasing the opacity on new layers. This painting is based on a photo I took a few years ago. I started with a clone where I sketched in the path and some tree trunks. I then turned off the tracing paper and started painting. At the end I hid the sketch layer and painted in the tree trunks and branches. After merging the layers I used the Just Add Water Blender on the edge of the path and the trees and branches. The original photo is shown below the painting.
