PS Elements Introduction - A

Locations of some palettes & their uses; Toolbox & Options Bar; Using the Color Picker; Some Keyboard Shortcuts; Help files; New files; New Layers; Opening files; Saving files for the web; Differences in file types

Example #1: Creating shapes on two layers. Used the Color Picker to set the colors. When the image was finished used the Crop tool to trim the excess white. Saved the image first as a PSD file to preserve the layers and then as GIF file named 'bjwcandothis'.

Example #2: The next image demonstrates moving a selection, in this case the circle.

Example #3: The last of the pink and blue images demonstrates making a selection on an existing image and then moving it away from the original image and then rotating the image.

Shapes #3

The final image is a collage made of shapes and the Polygonal Lasso Tool. I decided to also use this image for the title on my homework pages this session. The text was added in PSP 9.
