Exploring & Building Brushes; Cloner Brushes

After exploring and building brushes we learned how to turn a photograph into a painting by using cloner brushes. The first painting we did used the photograph provided in the lesson. I used the Artis Oils, Oily Bristle brush variant as suggested in the lesson.

Next we painted a cloned painting using a photograph of our own. I used an orchid photo I shot during one of my visits to the Pittsburgh Fipps Conservatory. I used the Artist Oils Soft Blender, Grainy Blender and Wet Oily variants. For the paper I used Artists Canvas.
