Painter IX.5 Auto-Painting Palettes

Creative Painting With The Auto-Painting Palette

This week we experimented with several new techniques where we used more creativity to transform ordinary images into creative painterly images.

For my first attempt at using the Underpainting palette I used a photo of Gerber Daisies provided as a WET in a group. I followed the lesson until the end when I just worked with it - painting, blending, cloning, painting, etc. To finish it I applied Image Luminance and a paper texture then added the Jagged Edge.

My second painting is based on a photo of a peace rose, also provided as a WET in a group. I was able to get greater color variations in this painting. I primarily used the Grainy Blender on this one at the end. Then I added Image Luminance at 6% as well as a paper texture. To finish it I added the Jagged Edge.
