Composition. We compose our picture and what we want to accomplish. This helps focus on the main interest, balance, variety, simiplfication and unity of the painting. |

First we worked with painting "negative" space. I used the "vase - face" example. I didn't get it the same on both sides, but I do get the idea: ![]() |

Next I worked on painting and colors. The rose was an example from an earlier lesson: ![]() |

I installed Elements 3.0 and decided to become familiar with it by painting a pear. In addition to the painting I used a "watercolor" surface for the pear and applied the sandstone Texturizer to the table top, below the shadow. ![]() |
