For our first week in the studio we were to paint a sky with only the bottom portion of the canvas used for land or sea. I chose to do a stormy sky with a large thunderhead cloud. The painting was done on a white canvas using one layer. I used Painter IX Acrylics and Blenders for the painting.

Next I decided to paint a red sky at sunset using Painter Oils.

This was fun to work on. I've more I'd like to do but will hold them for now. I'm looking forward to seeing what ideas you have for us next week! Thank you Hillary, Karen and Maire for always making these sessions so enjoyable. (OK, Hillary. Grab that coconut brew and have fun with this one! LOL)
