This tutorial was written March 12, 2005 and may be used with PSP 7, PSP 8 and PSP 9. The tutorial assumes that you have been working with one of these versions of PSP.
If you do not already own Paint Shop Pro, you may purchase it or
download a trial version of PSP 9
HERE.
For this tutorial we'll only be using some of the Menu options, but you should have open an image that you would like to compress or re-size.

The purpose of this tutorial is to show you another way to decrease the KByte size of your images for sharing on the web, e-mail, or in your groups. Quite often we see images that are resized so much that it doesn't do them justice, and it's difficult to see them. At other times the wrong format is used which also can distort the image. None of this is necessary once you know how to do it.
This tutorial primarily utilizes a number of screen captures to walk you through the steps to follow when determining the file format to use as well as the size of your image. It would be helpful if you have an image open so you can "test" it right along with me.

I hope you'll find it easier to make the best file format choices as well as compress your images for sharing.
