The next exercise was to sketch some simple subjects using one or more of the shapes in black, white and gray. I didn't color these, but may go back and practice on them if I have time. spacer image

We also made a horse head sketch based on shapes. This was quite an experience as I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it.

I completed one more sketch and finished it with Painter IX pencils for the Introduction to Painter lesson this week. Since I based the sketching on the techniques covered in this class I thought I'd share it here as well. I have wished for a long time that I could sketch my Labs and now I think I can go back and do some digital pencil sketches and paintings of them - in time. :o) spacer image
